The definitive guide to luxury travel in Morocco — best times to visit, VIP entry tips, top destinations, private transport and concierge services for discerning travellers.
Morocco for the Discerning Traveller
Morocco is one of the world's great luxury destinations — a civilisation of extraordinary depth within four hours of London, Paris and Madrid. Yet navigating it well requires local knowledge that no guidebook fully captures.
When to Visit
October–November: Peak season for the cities — warm, dry, rose festival season winding down, no summer heat. Best time for Fes, Marrakech and the Atlas.
February–March: Almond blossom in the Ourika Valley, snow on Toubkal, uncrowded medinas. Superb for photography.
April–May: Perfect temperature (22–28°C), roses in bloom in Kelaat M'Gouna, Sahara comfortable before summer heat.
December–January: Quiet, cool, with occasional rain in coastal cities. Sahara nights are cold but extraordinarily clear. Rates at riads are lowest.
Avoid July–August: Marrakech can reach 45°C. Excellent time instead for Essaouira (cool Atlantic breeze) or the High Atlas.
The Four Imperial Cities
Marrakech — The Pink City. Medina, palaces, gardens, the finest riad stock in the country. Base for Atlas and Sahara excursions.
Fes — The spiritual capital. The world's oldest surviving medieval city. Craft traditions unchanged for a thousand years.
Meknes — The forgotten imperial city. Less visited, more authentic, Volubilis Roman ruins nearby.
Rabat — The modern capital. Mohammed V mausoleum, Kasbah des Oudaias, and the most cosmopolitan restaurant scene in Morocco.
Private Entry Advantages
