Expérience Privée dans le Désert du Sahara depuis Marrakech : Guide Ultime

·8 min

Comment planifier une expérience privée dans le désert du Sahara depuis Marrakech — camps de luxe, randonnées à dos de chameau, excursions dans les dunes et observation des étoiles dans l'Erg Chebbi.

The Sahara from Marrakech

The Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga — Morocco's most dramatic Saharan landscape — sit roughly 550 km southeast of Marrakech. The journey itself is part of the experience: the road south crosses the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m), drops through the Draa Valley, and arrives at the dunes as the land turns amber.

Getting There

Private Chauffeur (10–11 hours): The most comfortable land option. Stop at Aït Benhaddou (UNESCO kasbah), Ouarzazate (the "Hollywood of Africa"), Tinghir and the Todra Gorge. One-way transfer or a 2-day loop.

Private Light Aircraft (1h10): Charter from Marrakech Menara to Errachidia Airport, then 40-minute transfer to the dunes. Maximum efficiency.

Helicopter (2h30): Spectacular, low-altitude flight over the Atlas. Landing at private camp if airstrip access can be arranged.

The Private Luxury Camp Experience

We work with a small number of exclusive camp operators who accept a single group at a time. Your private camp includes:

- Furnished Berber tent (king bed, Persian rugs, electricity) - Private bathroom with hot shower - Personal cook: traditional Berber menu with wine if desired - Camel trek at sunset with Tuareg guide - Astronomy session: guided stargazing with telescope (Erg Chebbi has near-zero light pollution) - Musician and storytelling at fire after dinner

Practical Details

Best season: October–April (dunes 25–32°C by day, 5–12°C at night in winter — bring layers). Summer temperatures exceed 45°C at midday. Wind can be strong; sand protection recommended.
